Mercedes is the VicePresident of Software Engineering at Knightscope where she leads the team of Artificial Intelligence and Cloud products. She has 15+ years of experience in technology. She is an expert in transforming manual processes into online solutions. Her team is in the forefront of technology bringing the first autonomous security robot to the market place. The first application of autonomous technology that is actually generating real revenue in the world.  She has a Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer science plus an MBA.

She is the recipient of an Abbie Award from the Anita Borg Institute for her work on mentoring women in technology and in STEM fields. She has been featured in multiple publications about Diversity in the workplace and she is the recipient the Women of Influence in Silicon Valley award.
